Hi, and welcome to Dad's Daily Digest.
I'm Damien—a father to my daughter, two dogs, and a pet pig, and a full-time Marketing and Brand Growth professional with 16+ years of experience.
Life’s a juggling act—balancing daily chaos, love, family mishaps, and the ups and downs of work. It’s intense, and I’m right there in it alongside so many other dads and men.
Dad's Daily Digest is a space for all men, not just dads. Here, I’ll be sharing real stories and, hopefully, inspiring others who are facing similar experiences. From family life and love to career advice (including navigating job loss) and the challenges of daily stress and mental health, I’m opening up about it all.
Let’s go through it together and be strong for one another.
My philosophy is centered around having self-confidence and embracing one's unique life experiences. I firmly believe that everyone possesses exclusive qualities that can be harnessed to their advantage and encourage others to trust in their abilities and avoid self-doubt.
Removing self-doubt can be challenging for many people - the life we have lived has shaped us. While it's important we recognize our past and how it has influenced certain life decisions, don't live in the past. Same can be said for focusing too much on the future - have goals and aspirations but don't put too much pressure on yourself to always think about 'what's next?' Live in the present moment. Be thankful for what you have and share gratitude and love to those around you.
I want to raise my daughter with empathy, compassion, kindness and love. This small gesture was heart melting - nearly brought me to tears. So very proud.
As well as going through my own self-healing journey with therapy, I've recently been reading self-improvement books to better myself as a human being and manage my daily well-being through shifting my thoughts and attitudes to being more positive.
I've been through a fair bit in my life. I come from a family that has struggled with mental health and suicide. Certain life lessons help inform us make decisions and certainly shape us. I try not to focus too much on the past as there's nothing you can do about it.
I set myself goals for the future but try not to obsess or over think about the future too much - this can be a cause of stress and unnecessary worry. I try, as much as possible, to live in the moment and share love and gratitude to those around me.
Share love today.
